Of my 6 months painting in Kenya in 1993, I left Metipso only a few times, once to travel to a small village North of Mombasa for a few weeks.  It was my first time to the coast of the Indian Ocean.   I painted this portrait of three boys who I talked to often, today it hangs in my parents house.
